L’Oreal Fund for Women opens for applications
The L’Oréal Fund for Women is offering grants worldwide to support women and girls’ empowerment.
Grants of between €5,000 and €300,000 will be made.
The Fund was established in 2020 “to support frontline organisations in their efforts to help women to get out of poverty, prevent domestic, sexual and gender-based violence against women”.
It focuses on supporting women and girls’ empowerment, particularly through projects that support social or professional integration and education. It has a particular interest in supporting refugee women and women with disabilities.
The Fund is opened internationally and can support activities and projects based locally or in another country.
Eligibility requirements include two years of “official existence” or operation, and a minimum of 200 beneficiaries per year.
Activities that are not eligible for funding include advocacy, and organisations that have a “negative impact on the environment (carbon, biodiversity, water, etc.) or people’s welfare and livelihoods” will not receive funding.
The Fund’s operation was renewed in 2023 until 2026, so there will presumably be future funding rounds.
The closing date for applications to L’Oréal Fund for Women in this round is 17 October 2024 (12pm CEST).
