Nominations for Hilton Humanitarian Prize 2026 close this month

Nominations for next year’s Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the world’s largest annual humanitarian award presented to nonprofit organisations, close on 30 April 2025.
The $2.5 million Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is awarded each year to honour a nonprofit which is leading efforts to alleviate human suffering.
Nominations for the 2026 prize have been open since 1 May 2024 and close on 30 April 2025.
Don’t worry if you miss this deadline. Nominations for the prize are accepted throughout the year. If your nomination is received from 1 May 2025 onwards, it will be considered for the 2027 Prize.
To be eligible nonprofits must

- have been legally established for at least five years.
- have their own audited financial statements for at least five years.
- have expenditures greater than U.S. $750,000 in their most recent audited fiscal year of operation.
The award is for a nonprofit organisation, not an individual.

The Conrad N Hilton Fund for Sisters
Did you know that Conrad Hilton created another grantmaking foundation, the Conrad N Hilton Fund for Sisters? Established in 1986, it honours the desire of Conrad Hilton to support the work of Roman Catholic sisters around the world.
In his last will and testament, Conrad Hilton characterised the sisters as “protectors and defenders” of children, and encouraged generosity to their schools, hospitals and places of worship.
